The Journal of College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (JCPSP) is now commencing its 35^th volume. With a rich legacy spanning more than three decades, the journal has consistently showcased high-quality research that has contributed to its international eminence and popularity. Its commitment to high- quality publications has not only enhanced its popularity among scholars and practitioners but also fostered a vibrant community dedicated to the advancement of medical knowledge and practice.

The College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) has maintained a prominent position in the realm of academic excellence. The publication of the Journal of College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (JCPSP) began in 1991, initially as a quarterly journal, which transitioned to a monthly publication in 1998. Since that time, it has consistently delivered twelve issues per year. This dedication to scholarly excellence has elevated JCPSP to a status of international recognition, with approximately fifty percent of its submitted manuscripts originating from contributors outside Pakistan.

In 2023, the college expanded its academic offerings with the launch of JCPSP Case Reports which has successfully completed two years of continued publication. As we reflect on this milestone of the past years, we are filled with gratefulness for the unwavering support from the medical community, our enthusiastic contributors, and keen readers. This growth, while exciting, also places us on the threshold of new challenges— challenges that we are eager to embrace as we explore innovative ways to elevate the journal’s profile, encourage our contributors, and continuously improve the quality of research.

Building on this momentum, and in response to the growing need and demand from our postgraduate trainees / residents of CPSP, we are excited to announce the upcoming launch of a new journal JCPSP Postgraduate, specifically for postgraduate students of CPSP. This new initiative will provide CPSP postgraduates with a dedicated platform to share their research, experiences, and insights with the global medical community. The journal will feature original articles focused on the needs and interests of CPSP postgraduates, furthering our mission to promote academic excellence and foster knowledge-sharing among medical professionals.

We invite CPSP postgraduate trainees to participate in this exciting endeavour by submitting their manuscripts. Detailed submission guidelines and journal policies are available on the journal's website (www.jcpsppg.pk).
